Queen Excluder – Wood Bound, 8 Frame, Unpainted

Queen Excluder – Wood Bound; unpainted

In stock

While wood bound excluders are more expensive than metal bound or plastic excluders, we have found that wood bound excluders will maintain the appropriate bee space above the brood box bars. In addition, you can use a wood bound excluder as a means of delivering emergency feed in the winter in the form of dampened sugar by placing the excluder on top of your brood chamber, placing a sheet of wax paper on the excluder and mounding the sugar on the paper. These excluders are heavy enough to handle the weight of the sugar without distorting. Our 8-frame excluder fits 8-frame equipment that is 13-3/4″ wide.
